Dear Reader,

Long before Jenny and Monica came along, I was imagining adventures, creating characters, and writing stories for my students, my classrooms, and the projects that brought learning to life. This bright, magical series is built on a long life of teaching and storytelling, shaped by countless moments in classrooms and the small, unforgettable ways children navigate the world.

The themes we explore in Timelight Tales—courage, friendship, curiosity, and finding your voice—are timeless. They are the questions we return to every day, at every stage of life, and that’s why each story, each laugh, each challenge feels so real. Every character carries a reflection of the children I’ve had the joy to know, making their triumphs, doubts, and discoveries relatable and heartfelt.

I wrote these books from a real place, with real stories in mind, hoping that as you follow Jenny, Monica, and their friends, you see yourself reflected in their adventures. My hope is that these stories spark joy, laughter, and a little bit of wonder, and remind you that courage and kindness are lessons worth revisiting again and again.
